The Annual Hambone Music Festival will again be held on the beautiful grounds of the History Center of Olmsted County in Rochester, with NEW DATES on Friday and Saturday, July 11 & 12. We’re celebrating our 5th year in Rochester!
Hambone Music Festival’s Board of Directors and it’s supporters would like to thank Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC), and the Rochester Arts Council for their ongoing arts grant support for this worthwhile festival.
Hambone Music Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. OUR MISSION: To provide an affordable entertainment experience while educating the general public about the art form of blues/roots related music by performance, by enhancing appreciation and understanding, by interpreting and by preserving blues/roots related music. Secondary purpose is to donate funds received, over and above operating costs to Rochester area youth music programs and local charities.
2014 is our 5th year in Rochester and we are celebrating! More amazing local, regional, and national music; New and different educational workshops, and return of the “Blues For Kids” HARMONICA Workshop sponsored by the Minnesota Blues Society; Expanded Artists Village featuring your favorite local artists and crafters, as well as a few new offerings! FACE PAINTING for the younger crowd (and young at heart) on Saturday! Local beer and wine tastings are also being planned.
